NorthgateArinso appoints new senior managers to prepare for future growth

NorthgateArinso, the global Human Resources software and services provider, has made five key appointments to its senior team. This forms part of its plans to strengthen the company’s positioning, grow its global footprint and become a supplier of choice for HR solutions.

Luc Bossaert, formerly Executive Vice-President Business Consulting at ARINSO International, has been appointed Executive Vice-President for HR Business Development with global responsibility for business development, demand generation, marketing, and alliances. To further augment the global business development team, Michael Custers becomes Vice-President for Global Marketing at NorthgateArinso. The business development leadership team also includes Luc Langeraert, VP Business Consulting and Graeme Slocombe, VP Alliances. Together, they will drive the HR business consulting practice across the region, a central part of NorthgateArinso’s strategy for forward growth.

Jacco van Bennekom has been appointed Marketing Director for the EMEA region. He will report to Kobe Verdonck, Vice-President of NorthgateArinso EMEA, and work closely with the global business development team. In the UK, NorthgateArinso has appointed Nick Carlson as the new Strategic Marketing Director. Nick will build upon ten years of experience in the HR and payroll market to further improve the position the leading-edge HR solutions of NorthgateArinso.

In addition, NorthgateArinso has appointed Alain Dehon as finance director for EMEA, strengthening its finance team. He will report to Kobe Verdonck, vice-president of NorthgateArinso EMEA, and work closely with the corporate finance team, led by CFO John Stier.

EXECUTIVE BIOGRAPHIES

Luc Bossaert, Executive Vice-President
In this position, Luc assists clients in the pursuit of a more effective and efficient Human Resource function, by designing, building and operating comprehensive HR Service Delivery Models (such as dedicated shared services centres and Business Process Outsourcing).

Luc has hands-on project management and delivery experience for a wide range of HR transformation and HR strategy multi-country studies with companies such as FIAT, AMD, GE, Unilever, Shell, Whirlpool, Volvo, Dexia, Philips. Luc’s entrepreneurial background includes executive and senior level consulting experience in HR strategy definition, HR transformation studies, business case development, human resource planning, performance design, organisation change management, business process re-design and human resource transformation.

Prior to joining ARINSO, Luc started his professional career at Unilever as Systems Analyst and Management Accountant. Luc then founded the management consulting groups AMI and ABO, where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer. When he left in 1999 the groups totaled over 100 employees. Consecutively, he joined KPMG to develop a business unit for the Belgian branch. Luc holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Antwerp (UFSIA).

Jacco van Bennekom, Marketing Director, EMEA
Jacco joined NorthgateArinso – at the time ARINSO – in 2006, taking responsibility for marketing and communications in the Netherlands. Prior to joining the company, Jacco held several national and international B2B marketing positions with companies such as Triple P, Mediasurface and Quint Wellington Redwood, delivering software, consulting and outsourcing services.

Nick Carlson, Strategic Marketing Director, UK
Nick has previously worked within the IT hardware and software markets in both national and international marketing roles. Most recently, he worked with an HR and Payroll software provider to help the company understand its marketplace and reposition itself accordingly, establishing it as a major player in the market.

Michael Custers, Vice-President, global marketing
Michael Custers is responsible for overseeing all global marketing, positioning and branding activities of the company. Michael started his career with NorthgateArinso - at the time ARINSO - as Director of Investor Relations, in 2005. Prior to joining NorthgateArinso, Michael served as Marketing & Product Manager at Belgacom and Belgian Post co-owned Certipost, where he was in charge of all communications, marketing, alliances, and product positioning activities. Michael started his career with Aditel, an innovative technology start-up, active in automating invoicing and supply chain information streams.

Michael holds degrees in Communications, Business-to-Business Marketing, Audiovisual Technology, and Industrial Management, and is currently finalising an additional Master's degree in Management Sciences. Recently, Michael completed a Leadership Development Programme at Nottingham Business School.

Alain Dehon, Finance Director, EMEA
Dehon’s appointment is a key part in NorthgateArinso’s plans to align country management with financial management to support the company’s steep growth ambitions. He will have a strong focus on both the top and bottom line, and will be driving compliance initiatives to further improve operational excellence and financial reporting.

Dehon joins from Guidant, now part of Boston Scientific, where he was CFO for EMEAC. There, he was responsible for the closing transaction with Boston Scientific & Abbot, having led the merger-related activities as well as the development, implementation and monitoring of pan-EMEAC best practices in various areas since taking the post in 2003.

Dehon will head up the finance team for the EMEA region, which also includes responsibility for Argentina, Brazil and Canada, covering 19 countries in total. He will be responsible for all key financial directions across the region, including accounting practices, consolidation, reporting and tax.
